Category B
The competition in Category B is open to young singers
born between the dates 01.01.2000 and 01.01.2005.

With your application please provide
• the repertoire that you wish to sing for the competition
• a photo (with photo credits provided)
• a curriculum vitae in tabular form (max. 1 A4-page)

If a registration is withdrawn by the participant after payment has been received, or if other circumstances prevent participation, there is no entitlement to a refund.
Travel and accommodation, as well as corresponding costs, are not covered and must be organized and paid for by the participant. This also applies explicitly to the relevant travel documents and travel insurance.
An accompanist will be provided for a € 30 fee per competition round, payable in cash to the competition management on site in advance. You are permitted and welcome to bring your own accompanist at your own expense.
All repertoire must be submitted before the start of the competition. In exceptional cases, the jury reserves the right to remove repertoire from the contestants’ submission, which may then be replaced with alternative repertoire suggested by the contestant.

Your Voice
1. Pre-Selection Round
Please send video recordings of
- 2 arias of your choice and
- 1 German Lied from the 19th century or the first half of the 20th century (e.g.: Brahms, Mahler, Mendelssohn, Schubert, Schumann, Strauss, Wolf etc).
Each individual piece must be recorded straight through without any interruptions or cuts in the recording. However, each piece may be recorded and uploaded separately. The 2 arias and 1 German Lied must be made accessible through Youtube or another freely accessible video platform and each piece must have been recorded and posted anytime after 01.06.2023.
2. Selection Round
in Graz on 26.08. and 27.08.2024 from 11:00-18:30 at the Fux Conservatory.
The 2nd round of the competition will be held at the Johann Joseph Fux Conservatory in Graz.
- 2 arias of your choice from an Opera, Oratorio, Cantata, Operetta or Musical
- 1 German Lied (e.g.: Brahms, Mahler, Mendelssohn, Schubert, Schumann, Strauss, Wolf) must be performed.
You may reuse some or all of the repertoire from your Pre-Selection audition.
Practice rooms will be provided on a separate schedule.
3. Evaluation Round
in Graz on 28.08. from 11:00-18:30 and 29.08.2024 from 11:00-13:00 at the Johann Fux Conservatory.
- 2 arias of your choice from an Opera, Oratorio, Cantata, Operetta or Musical must be performed.
These should be new arias not yet sung up to this point in the competition.
4. Final Round
in Graz on 29.08.2024 from 14:30-20:00 at the Johann Fux Conservatory.
- 3 arias will be performed from an Opera, Operetta or Oratorio, with the choice of singing repertoire
already performed in the competition or new repertoire.
